About

I have always been fascinated with militaria of all descriptions as well as the history of armed conflicts. Over the years, I have build up a relatively large collection of military arms from both the 19th and 20th centuries. I also have a large collection of British Army helmets covering the whole period from when they introduced in 1916 to the current army helmet. This web site provides a description of all all the objects in my militaria collection and a potted history for each.

British Army Helmets

I have a relatively large collection of British Army helmets and these are described in detail.

British Small Arms

I have a relatively large collection of British Army rifles dating from 1853. The history, development and main features are described for each of them.

German Small Arms

I have a small collection of German rifles starting with the Mauser Model 1895 and covering both World Wars. The history, development and main features of each are described in detail.

US Small Arms

My collection of US Army rifles is limited to the Model 1903 Springfield whose history, development and design features are described in detail.

Ordnance

I have a collection of shells from WW1 including British 13- and 18-pounders and a French 75 shell together with a range of fuses used. I am also fascinated with the weapons used to fire these shells and have done extensive research into their design and use.
